Hi friends! If you’re reading this post, I hope that you’re sitting somewhere cozy with a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine!) in hand, celebrating the last few days of 2018 with family and friends.
The past year was a good one with so many highlights that I wanted to share them in photos. I’m looking forward to curating new, exciting content for you all in 2019 and kicking off the new year with my top picks for “mini vacations” and a recap and review of my latest Disney adventure.
I’m also excited to unveil some new city guides to my favorite international destinations, as well as a brand new type of content for the blog – 2019 is going to be an amazing year and I’m so excited to share it all with you!
But now…back to 2018!
In January, I went on an amazing winter adventure to Paris and Amsterdam with Bryan and our best friends, Sarah and Jesse. This was my second trip to Paris in less than a year with Sarah, so we were excited to show the boys around the city as it was their first trip there! None of us had ever been to Amsterdam before, which was such a cozy city. I’m already planning my next trip back!
One of my very best friends got married in June, so we spent the spring sorting out all of the fun details (aka perfecting her bachelorette party) and showered her with the margarita-filled fiesta on Cinco de Mayo!
Later in May, I made my way to Miami for an amazing bachelorette weekend with the girls, but not without a stop to Universal Orlando Resort first to spend three days riding roller coasters and pretending I went to Hogwarts!
Pssssst…it’s totally possible to do a three-day trip to Universal Orlando Resort and see it all! Check out my post about how we did it!
We attended the most amazing and magical wedding of our best friends in June! It was so much fun to spend the weekend celebrating them!
Bryan and I spent the first part of the summer apartment hunting until we found one that was (and is!) perfect for us. We spent a lot of time outside and with friends at concerts and on mini weekend trips. We spent a weekend in NYC playing tourist in Times Square as we rushed from show to show and then rounded off the summer with a Labor Day weekend spent on Cape Cod with our amazing group of eight.
The fall was spent in New England enjoying the best time of the year here. Bryan and I went traveled to Portland to watch a friend run a marathon as we indulged in some of the most amazing donuts I’ve ever had. We were able to spend spent Bryan’s birthday hiking before it was too cold and snowy to hit the mountains without skis. And we rounded out the season with a fantastic first Friendsgiving with a group that we love.

Bryan and I ended the year with a Christmastime trip to Disney during the first week of December, which turned out to be the most magical trip of all, as we came back ENGAGED! All of my Disney dreams came true and I can’t wait to share the moment (coming soon!) and this new chapter with all of you!
I’ll be back here with lots of new content to share and amazing places to travel to in 2019! As always, for moment to moment snapshots, you can follow me on Instagram. I’ve also just launched a new Facebook page, which will bring the latest posts to you right when they go live.
